We are seeking experienced Resident Engineers and Senior Construction Inspectors for highway and bridge construction projects. NICET certification, or equivalent experience, is required. Familiarity with NYSDOT specifications and procedures is also preferred. Positions available in NYSDOT Region 1 and Region 8 areas. The responsibilities of the position include:

  • Stormwater system design and analysis, including detention, conveyance system, and stormwater quality BMPs
  • Hydrologic and hydraulic modeling and preparation of drainage/hydraulic reports
  • Engineering design, plan preparation, specifications, cost estimates, and other related tasks on site and roadway projects
  • Obtaining various permits
  • Proposal preparation

This engineer will have:

  • BS in civil engineering (Graduate degree preferred)

  • Strong background in stormwater management, storm drain, erosion and sediment control design. Knowledge of NYSDOT environmental criteria, policy and requirements a plus

We are looking for a highly motivated team member to work on a variety of drinking water, wastewater, and stormwater projects. Candidates should be a self-starter with a desire to grow professionally and be detailed oriented, quality oriented, and team-focused.

Engineer may serve as a Project Engineer or Project Manager on multiple assignments and will work with our technical team, administrative staff and clients to ensure the success of the projects. Projects will include: drinking water supply, treatment, distribution and pumping; wastewater collection, storage, pumping and treatment; and stormwater collection, detention and disposal. Work will include planning, permitting, design, and construction phase assignments.

Engineer will have:

Financial:

  • Assist Controller in directing the firm’s accounting function.
