NanoFab Xtension Site Design

Creighton Manning was the civil engineer of record responsible for the design of the site and all utility infrastructure for the 480,000 SF NanoFab Xtension at College of Nanoscale Science and Engineering (CNSE). The NanoFab Xtension added nearly 280,000 square feet of next-generation infrastructure, and an additional 50,000 square feet of Class 1 capable cleanrooms to accommodate more than 1,000 scientists, researchers and engineers from CNSE and global corporations. Creighton Manning’s responsibilities included:

  • Civil engineering and site design
  • Design of sanitary sewer service
  • Stormwater management and erosion control
  • Extension of water distribution system
  • Regulatory permitting
  • Design of retaining walls
  • Construction inspection in the NYSDOT ROW
  • NYSDOT permitting for the erection of the pedestrian bridge
  • Survey, mapping and construction stake out
