Creighton Manning sponsored a team for the 6th Annual Capital Region CANstruction event benefiting The Food Pantries for the Capital District. This year, a record high 15 teams participated in the 2016 theme “Play” held at the New York State Museum in Albany, NY March 16-30.
As promotion for the 2016 design and build competition, our previous design of The Lego Movie’s Emmet Brickowski, the 2015 Best Signage Winner, was selected by the Capital Region CANstruction Board of Directors to be rebuilt in the Museum lobby.
The Creighton Manning Team spent months preparing, designing, and fundraising for the event. The Team raised $3,475 to purchase the canned goods that became our building materials. Creighton Manning’s 2016 Minecraft structure finished 2nd in the Community Choice Award voting, and we were recognized with the Team Spirit Award for going above and beyond the call of duty throughout the competition.
