We have immediate openings for experienced Construction Inspectors in NYSDOT Region 1 (Albany area), Region 2 (Utica area) and Region 8 (Poughkeepsie area).

Position Summary:

  • Entry and advanced level Construction Inspectors. Work would be under supervision of a senior level Engineer.
  • Long-term projects with a strong backlog.
  • Potential design work available during off construction season.
  • Familiarity of NYSDOT specifications & procedures is required, including MURK reporting.
  • ACI and NETTCP Soils & Aggregate certification is preferred (but not required).
  • Computer skills are required, and knowledge of Site Manager and/or APPIA software is preferred.
We have an exciting opening for a Project Engineer in our Civil Site Group to work on commercial, institutional and residential related civil engineering projects.  Design experience should include layout, grading, water, wastewater, stormwater and other infrastructure facilities.

Job Duties:

  • Site design and layout of vehicular and pedestrian circulation, parking and loading.
  • Highway design, including street and sidewalk plans and profiles.
  • Utility design, including municipal water and sanitary sewer service plans and profiles.
  • Drainage and storm water management design, with particular attention to Phase 2 compliance.
  • Grading and erosion control plans.
  • Landscape, planting and lighting plans.
  • Geotechnical investigation and slope stability analysis.

  • Planning Board reviews to include compliance with the following:

This Project Engineer will have:

  • Background in stormwater management, storm drain, erosion and sediment control design. Knowledge of NYSDOT environmental criteria, policy and requirements a plus.
  • Certifications in CPESC and CPSWQ a plus.
  • Experience in hydrologic and hydraulic modeling and design of stormwater management systems.
  • Proficiency in stormwater modeling software such as HEC-RAS, HEC-GeoRAS, HEC-HMS, PondPack or TR20, and XPSWMM.
  • Proficient with AutoCad and Civil 3D (Land Development Design).
  • Knowledge of Federal Clean Water Act – NPDES MS4 permit requirements.
  • Proficiency with federal, state, and local stormwater and floodplain permitting and experience in obtaining various permits.
  • Ability to present site plans and reports in front of local land-use regulatory boards.

Job Requirements:

  • 2- 10 years of Civil Engineering experience in a similar role

We are seeking Assistant Project Engineers with 0-4 years of experience to complement our existing Engineering staff.

The Traffic/Transportation Engineer at Creighton Manning will play a vital, hands-on role in the firm’s traffic/transportation engineering projects, leading certain analysis and design components and supporting the team on broader tasks.  Staff Training

  • Maintain employee records and process personnel actions
