WayHome and Boots & Hearts Music Festival Transportation Plans
Oro-Medonte, Ontario, Canada
Creighton Manning developed the event transportation plans for these three- and four-day music festivals with up to 40,000‐ticketed attendees. Prior to the events, the firm provided assistance with obtaining approvals, coordination of the installation of temporary and Variable Message Signs, and coordination with law enforcement, transit, and transportation agencies to review communication protocols and finalize operational assignments for the arrival and departure plans. Creighton Manning staff were on-site for the events to assist with coordination of transportation operations, data collection, and to advise on changing traffic conditions as congestion occurred while entering or exiting the event. Updates were routinely provided to Social Media to keep attendees informed and to improve their experience, with daily updates provided to the involved agencies, lessening the coordination efforts necessary from the promoters. The transportation plans were implemented successfully in collaboration with the involved transportation and law enforcement agencies.
