Town of Dover, Dutchess County, New York
This $2.5 million Dutchess County-funded project involved replacing the existing two-span jack-arch bridge with a new single-span 60 ft galvanized steel beam superstructure on integral abutments founded on piles. The bridge was widened to accommodate 10.5 ft lanes and 4 ft shoulders, improving safety and reducing the potential for sideswipe accidents. The project also included right-of-way mapping and highway design improvements at the bridge approaches.
