Project Description

Luther Forest Technology Campus

Towns of Malta and Stillwater, Saratoga County, New York

The objective of this project was to construct all the new town roads that would provide access to the future high-tech land uses in Luther Forest Technology Campus. The two primary access roads, the Stonebreak Road Access and the Main Access, were both constructed to NYSDOT arterial standards. The Stonebreak Road Access enters the campus from US Route 9 and is a two lane roadway with additional lanes at major intersections. The Main Access enters the campus from NY Route 67 and is a four lane roadway with additional lanes at major intersections. The project includes 4 three sided culverts, extensive earthwork related to the terrain, wetland mitigation, a complex storm water system, 30” water line, 3 roundabouts, lighting, high voltage electric duct bank, a multi-use path and ongoing coordination with property owners and utility companies. Creighton Manning Engineering was responsible for the construction inspection and administration of the construction contract for the roads and bridges. Creighton Manning represented the Town of Malta during the construction of this $33 million State-funded project (NYSDOT PIN 1757.08.321). Creighton Manning provided the Resident Engineer, Office Engineer and up to 8 Inspectors to administer this project in accordance with the requirements of NYSDOT standards.
