Project Description

Palenville & Coxsackie Sidewalk Improvements

Hamlet of Palenville & Town of Coxsackie, Greene County, New York

Creighton Manning provided design, public involvement, and inspection services to construct 2,125 feet of new sidewalk along two State roads – NY Route 23A and NY Route 32A in the Hamlet of Palenville and NY Route 385 between Kings Road and the Coxsackie Creek in the Town of Coxsackie. The shoulders were reconstructed to improve pavement conditions for bicycles. The existing traffic signal in Palenville was modified to provide pedestrian signals with improved crosswalks and ramps. The construction of new sidewalks was an integral part of The Palenville, NY Greeneways Plan developed in 2014 to enhance pedestrian safety, improve mobility, and support economic development by providing access to businesses along the route.
