Rensselaer Rail Station Parking Lot Expansion

The Capital District Transportation Authority (CDTA) purchased a parcel of land adjacent to the train station for the expansion of the Rensselaer Rail Station parking lot under a State grant. The project design involved maximizing the parcel for parking spaces, adjacent roadway realignment, and access control pay stations at one of the 10 most active train stations in the Country. The project includes providing additional parking, site lighting, retaining walls, fencing, access control, and drainage design.

Creighton Manning was responsible for design, site layout, traffic and transportation engineering, boundary survey, stormwater pollution prevention plan, utility coordination, access control integration, construction bid support, and construction administration for the parking lot expansion.
