River Road and Rosendale Road Intersection

Creighton Manning provided survey, design, and inspection services for the construction of a single lane roundabout at the three-way intersection of River Road and Rosendale Road intersection in the Town of Niskayuna. The existing intersection experienced heavy congestion during peak travel hours resulting in excessive delays along River Road and was stop controlled on the River Road leg only. River Road and Rosendale Road east of the intersection are considered minor arterials with approximately 10,000 vpd. The roads service the Rosendale Elementary and Iroquois Middle Schools, Knolls Atomic Power Lab, General Electric Global Research & Development Center as well as numerous commuters from the residential population.
