Earlier this week the Capital District Transportation Authority (CDTA) board approved a construction contract to build a new mobility hub at Liberty Square in the City of Troy. Creighton Manning, under contract with CDTA, and in collaboration with the City of Troy, community groups, and our team members (LandArt Studio, Sowinski Sullivan Architects, Sage) were responsible for the planning and design of this new mobility hub at the intersection of Hill Street, 4th Street, and Liberty Street. This work is complementing streetscape improvements recently made by the City of Troy and future investments planned for the Little Italy neighborhood.

A mobility hub integrates multiple transportation options in one central location. At Liberty Square, people can find CDTA bus service (and a new shelter), CDPHP Cycle! bike share, and DRIVE car share, as well as new landscaping and seating.   Creighton Manning and our partners were also involved with CDTA’s first mobility hub, Gateway Plaza in Schenectady, which was completed in 2023. We are excited to see this new mobility hub take share and proud to support sustainable transportation in our region.
