CDTA River Corridor BRT

Creighton Manning and the Capital District Transportation Authority (CDTA) have been recognized by ACEC New York with a 2021 Engineering Excellence Diamond Award for the completion the CDTA Bus Rapid Transit River Corridor project.

The River Corridor BRT, or the BusPlus Blue Line, extends 15-miles along the Hudson River connecting downtown Albany, Cohoes, Menands, Troy, Waterford and Watervliet. The corridor has a growing employment base and more than 2 million boardings annually.

Creighton Manning was responsible for the design of traffic signals, highway, pedestrian and bicycle improvements, and BRT stations, traffic engineering, SEQRA and NEPA, surveying and mapping, public participation, project management and coordination with stakeholders, grant application support, and construction inspection.

The Diamond award in the Transportation category will be presented during ACEC New York’s Engineering Excellence Awards Gala at the New York City Hilton Midtown on Saturday, June 5, 2021.
